An 80+ year old had just left the same Wendy's,.....and could barely walk. We also found out later he could barely hear!
Out the door he goes (VERY slowly) and gets into his SUV. He's driving out the small enclosed driveway and we hear a steady horn honking (he doesn't), and he proceeds to drive UP onto the hood of a ladies Audi.......IN SPITE OF HER LAYING ON THE HORN he proceeded as if she wasn't there!
He then panics, shoves the SUV into Reverse (missed "Park" perhaps?) , and Speeds the 150 feet or so BACKWARDS until he goes over the curb and up over a small pole!
A pedestrian just missed being hit in the parking lot! This guy eventually gets out of his SUV, and the store manager walks him into the store to await the police.
WHY the hell is this guy still driving??? 80+ years old and very little foot coordination, and he's "driving" a 4000 pound death machine.
Geeze,.....chalk one up to the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for letting this guy stay on the road!!!
That is why I 'TAKE THE LANE', so I can see drivers like that, before they come out of nowhere.
