But nevertheless, wool socks are the way to go to reduce the chances of hotfoot and other foot difficulties ... both for walking and cycling.

I switched to wool socks years ago after getting big blisters on the balls of my feet when walking with cotton socks. Just simply switching to wool (or in my case angora or cashmere) socks did the trick. No more blisters. And they work when cycling as well.


I've got a few cotton socks still hidden in the back of my sock drawer, but I should get rid of the seeing as I haven't worn them in at least 5 years.
