Before you leave Canada, go to CAA in your city and get travellers insurance. The fact that you are leaving to Europe AFTER your bike trip doesn't mean anything. Those plans could change and you wind up back in Canada. (Unless possibly you're a student and your time's up) Still, go to CAA, and get Travellers Insurance.
