Absolutely

Just make sure you make a good route by remembering traffic behavior pursuant to AM and PM rush hour. Along with the physical road conditions i.e. freshly paved as opposed to a gravel road; Finally the speed limit on a given road in your route. When I ride south to a doctor 13mi. from my house, I ride a mix of 30mph two-lane, and 40mph four/six-lane roads. I will grant you that it is in suburbia. So there is a good amount of 'traffic control devices'.
