I have often questioned why anyone would buy insurance from a bank. I wouldn't go to a general dentist for a root canal, even though he was trained to do it in school. I would go to an endodontist-one who specializes in root canals (4 more years of school). CAA specializes in travel-sells insurance for your car, boat, house, etc. and Travellers Insurance, which is what you need if you are going to travel abroad and your regular provincial insurance doesn't cover you when you travel outside of your province. Also, FYI, if you have a Visa credit card, or I suppose Mastercard or American Express, they usually have travel insurance as a perk with their cards. Not all have it, and there are restrictions and other fine print naturally. My Visa cards have it, I don't use concern myself with it. I go to CAA. For the record, I do not work for and am not affiliated with CAA in any way. Nor do I have car, boat, home or any other kind of insurance with them at the present time. But when I travel to the states........you better get this one right! As I asked before, keep in touch and let us know how it all works out.
