Thanks for the welcomes guys.
Just got back from my first ride. Not wanting to take the full suspension XR250 on a flat trail, I decided to ride on the wooded trail I hiked for 4 hours last week. By the time I hit the long uphill half a mile into the trail my heart was pounding and my knees were aching. Couldn't get up the hill and had to stop every 10 yards or so. Ended up turning around before getting close to halfway to where I walked to last week, might have only gone 2 miles overall. Having a job that requires constant lifting and walking up to 20 miles a day, I Feel disappointed that I couldn't go further.
Bike didn't fare so well either, lol. Thought it was good, I rode it around my street yesterday to make sure it worked well. But other problems arose from the bumpy trail. The darn handlebar clamp was loosening while I was riding. By the time I turned around the screws were loose enough to rotate by hand and the handlebar could slide back and forth. My elbows and wrists did not like having to hold the handlebar in place while riding the bumpy trail back to my truck.
