Well this saga continues. The spokes for my rims have been discontinued and were some proprietary thing that only Mavic used. Couldn't get anything to work by tomorrow, when I will be riding the Chelan Century Challenge. The lbs owner has been super cool about it and actually lent me the rear wheel off his own road bike so I could ride this weekend's century. Today I discussed building some new wheels with the mechanic at that shop. I think I'm gonna go that route. I have been thinking about new wheels for a while and at 245 pounds, I really shouldn't continue riding on 20 spoke wheels anyways. Then there is the issue of me not wanting to get cheapo stuff, so now I'm in over $1000 for a wheelset, but hopefully well worth it.
