Sometimes I just went 2 down, up 1, if pedalling hard uphill.

I set up the derailleur several times and it made no difference.
Set up for quiet running it was recalcitrant changing down.

So I thought its due to the shifter cable being mostly
housed and the friction / stiction that causes. So I
oiled the cables with WD40 (with a dropper).

That fixed it, ... sort of ... better but not perfect.
Still have to push the lever a little on some gears.

rgds, sreten.

Get the chain in first. Move the shifter to sixth. You
should be able to release both housings at the rear.
Yep, exact same issue i have. i followed the youtube in the above post, and it did help quite a bit in terms of gears dropping in and out a bit better, but its not perfect. Ill try get my hands on some wD40 and give your suggestion a try.

It's a Chinese made folder that is also marketed in Sweden as the "Bjorn2Ride".
Ah thank you, i did email citizen bike to see if they could confirm or deny, and they emailed me 2 days confirming that it wasn't manufactured by them.

Again thank you all for the help
