Getting Past the Edge - Closer to Car-Free

I thought I'd share this thought/revelation with those that have already made the commitment to living car-free (or even those here that are car-light). While on my way to work this morning (bus/folder combo in, folder home, 7.5 miles each way) it dawned on me that if you push past the little lack of convenience, having a tired body, not having your stuff organized, or any of the other reasons that pop up when you are contemplating using an alternative (and have you choose the "easier" alternative - that is driving a car), that it really gets easier.

I was tired this morning, physically after an active weekend and mentally from the change of pace (from work-week to weekend back to work-week - hey its Monday!). I mean, if I had chosen to just turn the key on the car and drive in this morning, the next time I wanted to ride the bike in it would have been harder. As it is now, I feel that the next time will be easier. Kinda like getting into shape physically.

Anyway, a bit of a ramble, but I guess that it will ring a bell with some of you.
