In the price range you are looking at, the small amount of difference in weight will be insignificant for climbing. The gearing ratio will enable you to climb a little easier and is what you should be looking at. eg. an MTB cassette instead of a road cassette
Also I believe the tyres will also help.
Anyone have some advice on good rolling tyres for his terrain / conditions?
