Thought I would avoid the rain yesterday afternoon as the radar showed mostly clear skies when I left work. Nevertheless I rode hard because the clouds were dark and the humidity so high that it seemed like only a matter of time before it would start raining. I almost made it, until I heard a very loud clap of thunder when I was about 3 miles from home. It started pouring almost immediately and I was completely soaked by the time I got home with my shoes full of water. When I was cleaning up at home, I noticed a strange rash all over my chest. Not sure what caused it but my chest was still all red and puffy this morning, so I decided to drive today so I can go see the doctor.

Picked up my newest commuter bike, a Ritchey Breakaway Cross at the shop yesterday after I got home from work. The bike was at the shop being built for about a month, so I was eager to get it. Spent the evening in my garage prepping the bike with final details -- some new tires, a computer, different pedals, seatbag, etc. I was really eager to ride it this morning, but decided that I better go see the doctor because I don't often get rashes and this one looks rather funky. My left arm has also been hurting for past couple of days, and perhaps I got bit by a spider or something.
