Personally, I'm not going to dispute you on the science. I'm going to say that you are wrong on policy and politics. Policy has to be made on the best information available, while science always has the luxury of waiting for more data. It's time to move 100% politically, even if the science can never be more than 95 % certain. The stakes are so high, while the costs are fairly low.
Even if the science is wrong about climate change (very unlikely), the steps taken to reduce it--burning less coal and oil--will still benefit society. Cleaner air, cheaper utility bills, no more oil wars. What's not to like?
And, like i said before, I very strongly want my grandson to have a chance for a happy life.
I am NOT the one that made this personal. EKdog did that with his insulting insinuation that I belonged to the Flat Earth Society, so get your facts straight.
And if you think the politicians and elites in this world are going to be satisfied with the measures you've listed, you need to do some reading. Guys like Obamas former science advisor who advocate depopulating the earth; the U.N. Agenda 21 with crowding people into compact cities and rewilding areas of the planet. Even burning less coal is problamatic as something has to take it's place, and that something else is increasing Natural Gas. The problem there is that it is increasingly being produced by Frakking, which can have serious enviromental consequences such as earthquakes; ground water contamination; and soil contamination.
And if you want your grandson to have a happy life, then you'd better also be concerned about the national debt and the money printing of the Federal Reserve. The U.S. is headed for third world status if something doesn't turn around soon.
