When I managed to rip the hanger off my OCLV Trek, the cost to repair was about what I would to expect to spend for the same repair on a steel frame.
The nice thing about my replaceable hanger is that if it breaks, I remove it and install a new one. I do not have to send the frame back to Calfee to be repaired. I think the Cannondale hanger cost around $25.
