Well, I put Stan's 21-mm yellow rim tape in tonight, and that took mounting these A23's from "nearly impossible" to "not that bad". I can get my tires on without resorting to tire irons or a long sequence of curse words, so it's definitely an improvement.

Currently used just one wrap of rim tape; we'll see if that holds.
