All of the "gaspipe" bikes I showed have upgraded wheels and fast rolling tyres... the Peugeot has some very light vintage Weinmann rims and the frame is really great on the road as it tracks and rides so nicely but is a little whippier when you stomp it. The Garlatti has custom Arvon hubs and Araya 1W rims and rolls on 700:32 Continentals and is a bona fide rocket as that frame is very stiff and the parts that replaced the steel ones are very light. The geometry is wonderful and it is also a brilliant hill climber as all the power you throw into that Stronglight gets right to that back wheel.
All but the blue 1950 Raleigh Sports curb out in the mid twenties and the green Raleigh Sports is 28 pounds by virtue of all the alloy parts I used to build it up which is exceptional for a three speed... that 1020 carbon frame must be relatively light as the fixed gear Peugeot weighs 26 pounds with that lighter fixed wheelset.
They do not give up much to my 21 pound Cooper road bike or my Proctor with it's Ultegra group... these are faster by virtue of having even faster rolling tyres that sacrifice a little by being less bulletproof.
