Interesting. To me the bike is hideous. Head tube gussets look like something out of a mad max movie. I do believe the future is the integration of smoother ride with good performance however because most of us don't ride on a marble table top.

One telling comment about testing the bike. The 1 cm suspension travel which apparently works...not unlike the compliance in the Domane joint, has a cost in terms of response. The bike is said to be not as responsive for quick bursts out of the saddle. The rear triangle feels softer. As a side note, Specialized took there new SL4 Roubaix in a another direction...more toward the Tarmac with stiffer rear triangle...using the ugly suspension seat post to regain some lost ride compliancy of the SL3.

Believe one takeaway is as bike tech continues to evolve and designers find the elusive mix between ride quality and responsiveness...we will all benefit as manufacturers learn from one another and continue to raise the bar.
