[MENTION=23351]Roody[/MENTION], most of that I agree with but bear in mind that China burns almost half of the coal used worldwide, more than the US, Japan and EU combined. In facilities not particularly sophisticated regarding emissions.

The flip side of that is that China will be forced to reduce emissions regardless of what measures we take, and in fact are increasing standards and investing in alternate energy sources even now.
