About 5 years ago Sun Race prototyped one with a silent clutch that engaged with no gap. Seriously...NO GAP. Pretty f'ing sweet. My buddy was the race team manager, that's how I got to see it.

The prototype had some slipping issues and the freestylers had issues with the pedals creeping forward on tricks like tailwhip airs and stuff. Maybe they worked those kinks out in the last 5 years and moved it into production. Look for it.

Also, Chris King hubs make a very different and distinct buzz that you may find more to your liking. But, then you'd have to build a new wheel from the hub up.

Good luck with your search.

Also, try calling Broadway Bicycle (410) 276-0266 here in Baltimore. They have the largest BMX inventory in stock that I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot). So, maybe those guys can give you some good advice.
