I'm interpreting the code to read that a "comfort hybrid" is, as I figured, a questionable choice for the rides i am doing. And that a Verve may not be all that different, ultimately -- I can definitely say though that looking at the two side by side yesterday the pedals were CLEARLY positioned further up on the bike on the Townie, it was more like you were SITTING and pedalling versus the Verve, which did have pedals closer to the seat shaft.
By the way, I HAVE pretty much stopped riding because of this, though my husband is urging me to take the Townie out today to give it another whirl with a seat adjustment. I will try to look for the other bikes mentioned -- curious if these require the "hunched" positioning that drove me to the Townie in the first place.
