Guy and I decided to take a short ride Friday morning which turned into 102 mi. Rode through Fountain hills, into through Scottsdale and finally finished heading along the Beeline to the Bush Highway back into Mesa (where I live). Low stress ride in full cloud cover with light showers breaking though now and again. It was freaking awesome.

While riding we straddled (he right, I left) a diamondback perhaps only 24" long but we only realized what it was a few feet away and it made us both jump in our saddles! We had to stop in Fountain hills a second time and grab some nutrition at McDonnalds . Luckily I brought some nutrition on a whim because we were out for around 7.5 hrs.
