Their longer cable pull means less leverage and more hand pressure will be needed to obtain equal stopping power. Those with weaker hands will find the bike significantly more difficult to stop.

+1. Unless you've got a handshake people prefer avoiding
v-brake levers will feel very solid with calipers but be poor.
