sorry you had such a bad experience with the Parlee people... I really wanted to test the SRAM, which was a relabeled Specialized S-Works with all the top of the line SRAN components on it--retail around $15,000... but my size was not available. Seems they signed them all out the first day, unlike what they advertised, that it would be first come first srved every day. Oh well, there is always next year When i have taken 'atypical' bikes, my goal has been to ride the whole thing on my bike-- hence the fixed gear in 2007 and the Dahon last year. This year, the friday was similar to the dahon (but much, much better), and i felt like trying other things. I did use the Friday on Wolf's Creek Pass-- it climbed flawlessly.
