It's a metaphor, not a literal assertion. It's apt, because:
• You are applying one burst of power per revolution.
• You are
not applying consistent levels of power throughout the pedal stroke.
• The upstroke is driven mostly by momentum.
• You still wind up with a consistent speed.
What am I missing?
