First CX bike advice

Hi,

I hate being another forum newbie asking for new CX abikedvice, but I'm really hoping for some help! I would like to buy my first CX bike and I am not sure which bike to buy and how much I should be spending. I will be joining a group for practices occasionally with the aim of eventually participating in races (but not too seriously)

- there is the Cannondale CAADX 6 with Tiagra (no disc) for $1299 CAD + 13% sales tax
- the CAADX 5 with 105 (no disc) for $1499 cad + 13% tax - this is already way over my budget, unless I can be given a very good reason to go this high

- Ridley's are expensive in Toronto, X-Bow with 105 (no disc, but I believe it may be compatible) for $1699 CAD +13% tax. I may be able to get the price reduced by 10% if not more.

- Boardmans via online order.
- Boardman CX Comp - disc, Sora and Microshift for $1021 CAD + 13% sales tax is a good probability with $100 delivery
- Boardman CX Team - disc, Apex for $1257 CAD + 13% sales tax is a good probability with $100 delivery

- There is a local dealer / bike shop with new Jamis CX bikes posting prices here: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-s...AdIdZ467723599

I am open to additional suggestions and advice. I will also need MTB shoes, pedals and cold weather clothing eventually.

Thanks,
Tony
