Yeah, the guy I bought it from was mostly a road-racer, so I think he was just going for the lightest thing he could find for those barely xc-style races that are all the rage these days. I've just been assuming that 130mm would be way too much for the frame, since it's starting with only 80mm. Maybe not?

Well, I bought a Manitou (manipoo?) minute 2:00 100mm. It seemed comparable on all the stuff I cared about, and the price was jsut too sweet to pass up. From reading reviews, it sounds like you either get a good one or you get a lemmon. Here's hoping it's a good one. Seems to hold air so far...

I pricematched it at the supergo shop here in Tucson, so at least I've got a real receipt and a shop with mechanics in case I have to use the warranty.

I haven't actually installed it yet, so I guess I could still return it...

I think the 100mm will do me right, tho, from the sound of things.
