The 100k on July 4th went great! Killed my legs but well within doable.
Here my blog write up:

We got out the door around 7:30am and headed out. I stayed back with a few of my friends and a few others zoomed ahead. I could have averaged a higher mph but the desire to make sure I finished was strong so I held back. I met several people and even did some business with some that I just met.
The support tents were great (my first tour) and appropriately placed. The rain hit around mile 30 so I did the last part soaking wet but I didn't care. I'm sure riding in the water made it tougher but again it was fine.
My GPS showed 58.x miles and others in the group had different but all under 60 miles. As my previous long was 63.5 miles I did a bit extra and got to 65.9 miles, which is a new all-time
PR for me.
I had such a good time that I'm certainly going to do more events, as long as they are fun and not uber-competitive as I don't want to get in anyone's way.
Go read the blog for details!
Thank you everybody for support along this path.
