You need to understand the differences and results between anaerobic and aerobic exercise.

I wanted to lose ten pounds and what I did was to get up early and have no food or liquid intake. That means 0. Then I went for a one hour ride and did not push my heart rate up too high. Came home and had breakfast. Lost 10 pounds in 17 days.
