So, I decided to take leave after all and got into WA via a roundabout manner (to include AMC - Air Mobility Command - and commercial flights) on the 7th. I got into my hotel in Edmonds late that night after getting my rental car, and picked up a temporary cell phone the following day. Did some model and clothes shopping the first day and got over the the old neighborhood for some photos, too.
Tuesday I headed out to Whidbey Island and visited my Shipmates at my previous command at the Naval Air Station. I got in touch with
Alex Moll before I headed back south and he invited me over to see his newest acquisitions, enjoy a superb salmon dinner and - of course - pick up my gold Colnago. Although not able to ride that day, we're looking forward to the ride/racing at the Velodrome on the 19th.
Yesterday I checked out of the hotel, loaded up the car and - after a neat visit to my old elementary school (during which I actually got to go inside the rooms as there was a cleaning crew on-site prepping for the upcoming school-year) I headed down south towards Burien (where I'll be staying for most of the rest of my stay). I stopped in at Recycled Cycles and took the photos seen below.

More of the same:
Tommasini-branded shoes:
56cm Erickson - looked smaller, actually - and if it had really looked like it would've fit, I might have pulled out my credit card (although it was, in fact, being held for someone at the time):
The Erickson's seat cluster (more pics on my Flickr - see sig):

A few more to come...
