Two daughters and the eldest said she would like to start riding. She did for about 3 months till she changed boyfriends to one that didn't ride. 2nd daughter and set a bike for her- bought her the lycra of her choice and clipless pedals. started her on a few gentle offroad slopes and she loved it. Even at her choice got her into a race that she won for her age group and I thought "We are going to enjoy riding together". Lasted 2 years before the boyfriends started.

My eldest Daughter eventually bought home a Boyfriend that to keep me happy got into cycling and he became my Son-in-Law. Sometimes wish he hadn't as he keeps bringing his bike round for me to fix.

Neither daughter rides now.
