The Stratos (17.5) is smaller than my Blizzard which is a 20 inch frame but the (virtual) top tube and reach are nearly identical... at first glance I thought this was too small a bike but it is only a few mm shorter up top than the Blizzard which has higher placed bars and a shorter stem.
The Stratos has a virtual top tube of 54cm and is rocking a 130mm stem which puts me in my happy place... did a little research and the bike is a '91 which got me to thinking. I have been collecting a good deal of XTR 8 speed parts from this period and the STIs and cantis from this periods really don't get much better, XTR cranks are a thing of beauty, and I have a DX wheelset with an 8 speed block and a long cage DX rear to handle a wider range.
