The Seedhouse SL2 does in fact have the same design flaw, but overall packs small and other than just a tarp, not sure anything is much lighter.
I'll have to check out Big Agnes tents, seems like a lot of people like them. I had a bivy sack before I felt cramped, I guess maybe I am a bit claustrophobic.
