Bikes: Lots

Some more examples of cycling facilities around the world ...

The Cog, a bicycle café on one of the network of rail trails all over Victoria (the state in Australia) ...

Bicycle path from Bordeaux to the beaches on the west coast of France. If you wanted, you could do a century (100 mile ride in one day) almost entirely on bike paths from the Bordeaux train station out to the coast and back. And this path takes you to the Velodyssey Trail ...

A sign along the Velodyssey Trail ...

Veloparc bicycle parking structure in Strasbourg ...

Cycling path just outside Hualian, Taiwan. It ended when it got to the hills in the distance, but then the road along the ocean had a big, beautiful shoulder so cycling was a pleasure. Accommodation in Hualian was also very inexpensive, and the place we stayed had no problem with us bringing our bicycles into the room.

The Chitose - Lake Shikotsu trail on Hokkaido, Japan. That was a beautiful trail with toilet facilities and picnic areas. And the Lake Shikotsu area is lovely as well with campgrounds and a big hostel. There was a good bicycle path all the way down to Tomakomai, on the coast, as well.
