I just bought a Scott CR1, and I love it. I didn't think it was harsh at all, and I am coming off of a steel Lemond frame. That being said it had old and lower end wheels. My Lemond was a 2003, and I am amazed at how much better the Scott rides in all categories. I rode a friend's Roubaix, and I didn't notice it being any smoother than my Scott.
