Playing football I always tweek my ankles. I just give 'em a good wraping of tape and ride/run any ways.
When I first started tweeking out my ankles there was some pain but it has happend so often I do not even know what I did until I see the brusing.
I had an instructor one time put the pain of injuries into perspective. He said, " Pain is relative."
It could take a very long time to heal since it usually messes the ligiments up and there is not a good supply of blood that flows through them.
