Yeah, in some cases I've seen the pitch questioned, and no doubt it's important to get the fly staked out and not down on them, or any other tent. However, the Grand Mesa and Gunnison seem to be repeat offenders. I think it has a lot to do with the amount of netting vs ristop on the walls, and the way the fly fits with no guyout points in center sections. They are by no means the only shelters designed that way or that skimp on guyout points for ventilation, but they are common offenders for those reasons, methinks.

That's another thing about some of the BA tents that is good and bad. I think my SL3 had 13 or 14 stakes. Heavier(though still UL overall) and more of a chore to stake out 13 points, but well-vented and solid as a rock set-up when full staked-out, with no fly flapping at the sides.
