I am a firm believer in a Sabbath, so no more then 6 days in a row, there is no specific day that I will take off, it depends on what I am busy with that week. Often though I target for a lot less, sometimes with as few as 3 days a week. Right now I am on the Disabled List so, not riding at all, hoping the shoulder feels good enough that I can get back to it, in August, then I will start "training" with 3 days a week, and slowly build back up. In Winter mode which runs from (Canadian) Thanksgiving to May 24 weekend, I often use the trainer, and that's 4 days a week with shorter distances. In summer mode, I will slowly build distance until I get back to winter mode in the fall. This year got messed up, with Hernia surgery in April, moving in May, and then busting up the shoulder, and then moving again in the fall, it's going to be a mess this year.
