I should have mentioned that in my post above, too. I'm basically a homebody, so staying home on rest days is a benefit, not a problem. Although I will walk the four-tenths of a mile to the grocery store if need be, I try to get in serious couch time with a stack of novels. An ideal day is when I don't leave my apartment, let alone the building.
