I'm also in the market for a tent....have not camped since I was a teenager...in other words the stone ages, according to my kids.

I've signed up for a 10 day van supported cycling tour this fall but also plan to try some hub and spoke tours in the future (mainly in Texas). Drive to a place, camp and ride the bike.

The main tents I have been looking at are 3 or 4 persons. Even though it is just me I just don't want to go too small, a bit claustrophobic. The bike portion I'm not too worried about at this point because of all the miles I log (over 7K miles/year). As others have said there are so many choices for tents!!

So this tent is on sale at REI

Where I live we don't have REI stores but there are some within 300 miles and I may have the opportunity to visit one real soon.

I live in south Texas so it is hot all or most of the time. The tour is in west texas in Big Bend.

Any comments on this tent? Thanks

Richard
