Bikes: Custom 650B tandem by Bob Brown, 650B tandem converted from Santana Arriva, Santana Noventa, Boulder Bicycle 700C, Gunnar Sport

Although listed otherwise, the Sugino are good cranks will work well with a 10 speed system. I have used them on multiple single bikes with both Shimano and Campy front derailleurs. I have seen them installed them on tandems as well. They also have the advantage using the 110BCD which allows more flexibility in gearing than a 130BCD. The Sugino rings that I have used were triple rings with ramps and pins. I am not sure how flat rings would work you can put new rings on your old cranks.

If you would like new cranks then daVinci are good alternatives to the Shimano cranks. They allow a variety of crank arm lengths not available in Sugino or Shimano and also allow either 110BCD or 130BCD.

The Shimano cranks have limited crank arm lengths and the styling will limit the rings available to Shimano's rings and some limited others. This is only a consideration if want the ability to change from the standard Shimano ring sizes. I like a 36 tooth middle ring which cannot be installed on the Shimano cranks.
