It's true, those parts are original. Mine even has the same weird Pivo stem and even weirder 2 piece stem bolt. I'd keep the rear derailer, too. Those don't break as easily as the cheap ones and they shift really well. It may need new pulleys, though. Mine now has an SLJ 6000. The bike is worth it. The original front derailer looked like the common Prestige, but it had a chrome clamp and polished aluminum cap. They have a name, but I can't think of it. One was incorrectly listed on Velobase as a Prestige the last time I looked. I'd have both wheels rebuilt on those hubs. Like I said, the bike is worth it.

They started using those Sugino cranks when they ran short of Stronglights. They do nothing for the looks of the bike, IMO.
