Yes, everyone knows this: The newer your bike and the more money you spend on it, the faster you go. People on Sevens, Litespeeds, Colnagoes, Pinarellos, and the more expensive bikes, are much faster than everyone else. People with old or old and cheap bikes, usually cannot go faster than 5 mph. It's written down somewhere in the Laws of Cycleland.
