Based on this test, Hilleberg seems a great brand.

I bought a 4 season North Face 2 man tent when I lived in Colorado, used it 30 times and its still fine after 15 years.
North Face stuff is generally a great brand.
I got a cheaper $60 NF backpack and some $50 shorts back in the late 1990s and have been using them on a regular basis.
The velcro and elastics have lost effectiveness but the stitching and main materials are still good after 15 years.
Those NF shorts are the longest lasting clothes I have ever had other than a particular Ex-Officio shirt I've had for 15 years as well.
Ex-Officio has lost its awesomeness though.
I bought some $90 pants of theirs and their weak stitching was worn out after only 2 years.
