The one day is definitely better, especially if you can get to the start line for the 4:45AM wave of riders. You'll be with generally faster and more skilled group of people, but there are always a few who do stupid sh*t. Where you really run into the slow people with the one day is on US 30--a lot of the folks who sprinted their way through the first half find out they've burned all their matches there.
