To hell with comfort??? You're doing 27 straight 100 mile days, but you're not concerned with improving comfort? I've done quite a few week-long tours that average in the 70 or 80 miles per day range, and by day 7 of that, most people would kill for comfort.
Kevin:
My engineering mind works like this: Speed gain of MPH is absolute and measurable, comfort is relative.
I have been told that a $5,000 to $7,000 Specialized Roubaix offers comfort and road worthiness far above my C'dale. No way I can check that out unless someone lets me ride it. Not in this town where I live. Perhaps someone on this forum has something to say about that?
Another guy has a $5,000 Trek CF. He is a great biker. Unfortunately he is about 135 lb to my 190 lb. So, I cannot try his bike. I guess I could try to talk an LBS into loaning this type of Trek?
All this aside, what do I do with my pretty C'dale? It is a beautiful machine but gets no medal for comfort.
