I'd have to agree. My BF NWT is my favorite bike to ride for it's comfort, speed and street prowess but when I ride it to work I usually have to wait for a non-crowded elevator or take the stairs up because it doesn't have a quick and elegant fold... it's more of a break-down bike that is packable... it's emphasis is on ride quality rather than a quick and efficient fold.
For my daily commute a Brompton would be a better choice since my commute to work is usually less than 10 miles each way (3.5 miles if for some stupid reason I merely want to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible) and at a "leisurely" pace but it's fold makes it more convenient to take to my desk and then take to pubs, museums or other after-work venues for socializing. I've pondered the pros and cons of a Brommie for a few years, finally ridden several and have come to the conclusion that it's a purchase I wouldn't regret.
But for now my Miami Citizen fits the bill as my casual commuter and once it wears out beyond repair or I get another decent bonus for a "big" bike purchase, a Brommie will be on order... with some money left over to get a Rodeo for when I'm feeling a little tricky.
