Yes. You don't have to take the der off the bike. Go through all the adjustment steps. Making sure the derailleur is precisely lined up with the 4th cog, etc, going through every single step in order just like the manual says to do. Check all the screws settings. I learned where screws are this way - like the screw that pulls the derailleur away from the cogs thus quieting any noise in the 2 or 3 lowest gears. Make sure the cable is most tense at the lowest gear (small chainring to largest cog) - I usually tighten it as much as I can.
