Well, looks like he's done 6 back to back... will, if you're comfortable after 6 centuries, you're probably fine. I wonder about the 28mm tires though. I remember specifically that my friend road 23mm Conti Ultra's. Not the lightest, but very durable. Competitive cyclist has litespeeds on sale... I'd look really hard at Ti for high mileage applications.
