Oh yes. The black/silver XT, is pretty much my go to, and I have three mountain bikes equipped with it. I also had it on my 8 speed conversion Univega GT. I LOVED that bike, but had to sell it to finance my move 3 years ago. It was too big for me after all. If I had 20 NOS XT groups of that era, I would hoard them and run them on every bike of mine that has a triple.,,,,BD
