I've used the MTX bag & rack for quite a few years now. Started with it on my old Ross Mt Whitney MTB.
When I got my Fischer Piranha, I had to buy a different rack that would fit over the disc brakes.
Use it for all my tools/batteries, clothing etc and carries my lunch & newspaper etc on my commutes to work.
No panniers, but top expands if I need more room for something else.
