This is why the computers are forbidden by the UCI. (I don't agree with this, but this is why.) This is also why you see computers mounted underneath the saddle. The teams download the data and analyze it later. You can see the SRM PowerControl V head unit here:

This is fine. The computer can exist on the bike so long as the rider cannot see the screen and use the data during the ride.

Shoe covers are legal when racing on outdoor tracks. They are only prohibited for use on indoor tracks.
